The vocal chords are as important to the life of the body as is the heart. The two diaphragms play an equally important role, as does the need for solid lower body strength. Particularly, I express my deepest gratitude to the Maestro or Maitre Kurt Wronke-Marion, who dedicated his entire life to this profound research for knowledge and understanding of the perfected, healthy voice. Doctors constantly sent him patients they were not able to diagnose. He always found the problem and provided a diagnosis or solution. Many medical students were sent by these doctors in Nice, France, to train with the Maitre Marion. For his insistence that I pass on this heritage, and for his counseling during my first seven years of practice in France, I am deeply indebted.
